Northwestern Benefit Spring Client Seminar Recap
On May 7, 2019 Northwestern Benefit hosted its Spring Client Seminar at the City Springs Performing Arts Center. Over 80 guests gathered to hear presentations from three special guest speakers — Piedmont Healthcare CEO Kevin Brown; Northwestern Benefit Manager of Communications, Heather Rabinowitz ; and OneDigital Practice Leader of HR Consulting, David Hughes — on the most current issues in employee benefits.
Keynote Speaker Kevin Brown kicked off the seminar to discuss Piedmont Healthcare’s clinically integrated network of hospitals, clinics, and urgent care facilities. Brown explained the importance of a customer-centric Model of Care, and why effective utilization of services is more important than healthcare rates.
Northwestern Benefit’s own Manager of Communications, Heather Rabinowitz, dove into a few obstacles in benefits communication — including simplifying benefits information through creative and integrated communications approaches, and catering to employees’ short attention spans to optimize benefits engagement.
Practice Leader of HR Consulting David Hughes tackled the issue of managing a modern workforce composed of three very different generations. Hughes recommends that employers identify less traditional work tools and methods, and changing employee mindsets through education about the evolving workforce.
