2018 Great Days of Service Recap
At Northwestern Benefit, we invest in relationships, and part of that initiative is giving back to our community. For many years, we’ve cherished our relationships with non-profit organizations such as Chris 180, Hope Lodge Cancer Society, Love Beyond Walls, and Canine Assistants that provide support and necessities to those in need.
In case you missed it, here’s a recap of our five Great Days of Service in 2018:
Canine Assistants is an organization that places service and companion dogs with people who have mobility difficulties and other medical needs. On May 18, 2018, our staff members helped with yard work, facility maintenance, and exercising the dogs.
Over the past 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been working relentlessly to end cancer. The Hope Lodge allows cancer patients and their caregivers to find treatment and hope when home is far away. On July 19, 2018, our staff volunteered and spent quality time with Hope Lodge guests.
CHRIS 180 is a Northwestern Benefit client whose goal is to serve and protect children, young adults, and families who have experienced trauma, and help them change the direction of their lives. On March 23, 2018, our team helped beautify the organization’s youth homes by working in the garden and flower beds.
Love Beyond Walls is a non-profit organization that provides a voice, visibility, shelter, community, grooming, and support services to the homeless community of Atlanta. Since starting in 2013, Love Beyond Walls has mobilized thousands of people to serve those that are vulnerable and forgotten. On July 25 and 26, 2018, Northwestern Benefit staff donated school supplies and assembled back-to-school packs for kids in need of materials during the 2018 school year.
As we reflect on 2018, our team would like to thank our clients, partners, and employees for their participation in all of our 2018 Great Days of Service. We look forward to another year of serving our community, and our clients, in 2019.
