John Wright, II graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois with a degree in Speech Communication. At Illinois John was the Captain of the football team, a First Team Academic All-American, and ended his career as the seventh all-time leading receiver in Illinois history.
John began his career with Northwestern Mutual as a College Intern in 1990. In 1991 John was the leading College Agent in the Company and co-captained the University of Illinois to the leading College Team. John signed his full-time contract in July 1993. In his first full year he won the Mike Gish Award, wrote over 100 lives, qualified for Round Table, and became a CLU. John has qualified for Million Dollar Round Table every year in the business. In 1999 John was a Forum Qualifier.
During this time John was very active on the Leadership Team. He became a Managing Director in July 2000. As a Managing Director John was an OARS winner, a MD Growth Award winner, and a leader in his category. John has recruited and developed Pacesetter 40s, second 60s, Round Table FRs, and a Company Runner-Up.
John was presented with the opportunity to be a Managing Partner and in 2006; he assumed leadership of Goodwin, Wright in Atlanta, GA. Goodwin, Wright has several office locations around the state, including Atlanta, Peachtree Corners, Alpharetta, Macon and Columbus.
John is married to Laura and has four daughters, Julia, Joanna, Faith, and Elle. John’s leads his professional and personal life with this Purpose Statement in mind: To positively impact and influence lives and lifestyles.
